Battery replacement
A new battery, brought to where you are parked
When the battery is finished, replacing it should not mean a tow and a garage appointment. We carry replacements on the van, fit yours at the curb or in the garage, take the old one away, and you drive off on the same call.
What happens when we arrive
We confirm the right battery
Group size, terminal layout, and cranking rating for your specific vehicle. Give us the year, make, and model on the phone and we load it before we leave.
We fit it on the spot
Old battery out, terminals and clamps cleaned back to bare metal, new battery in and secured. Corrosion left in place is what kills the next one early.
When this is the call to make
Any one of these is enough of a reason to pick up the phone. You do not need to be sure.
- The battery is more than three or four years old
- It has needed a jump more than once in a month
- The car cranks slowly every cold morning
Straight answers
How much does the battery itself cost?
It depends entirely on the vehicle, because a compact car and a European vehicle with a start stop system need very different batteries. We quote it on the phone once we know the year, make, and model, and that quote is what you pay.
Do I lose my radio presets and settings?
Some vehicles lose stored settings when power is disconnected, and a few need a short relearn afterwards. We tell you what to expect for your car before we start rather than after.
Not just a jump pack and a wrench
Hybrid and EV 12V
The small 12V battery in a hybrid or electric car still strands it when it dies, and most roadside outfits will not touch one. We will. The traction pack is a workshop job and we say so.
Start stop and AGM registration
Newer vehicles need the replacement battery registered to the management system. Skip it and the car keeps charging to the old battery's profile, which shortens the life of the new one.
Memory saver on every swap
Radio presets, the clock, and stored settings survive the battery coming out. Some vehicles still need a short relearn afterwards, and we tell you before we start.
